As an accredited land trust and watershed nonprofit, the Eno River Association has worked to conserve and protect natural, historical, and cultural resources of the Eno River basin in Durham and Orange Counties since 1966. Our efforts have resulted in the protection of 7,500 acres which are largely contained within six public parks and natural areas. The Association also provides year-round environmental education programs, winter & spring hike series, and youth summer camps. Dozens of volunteers support trail upkeep through our stewards programs and monthly volunteer workdays. We engage in advocacy for the protection of the river and its tributaries. The Association also produces the Festival for the Eno, a community event and fundraiser on the banks of the Eno with live music, craft artists, food, and environmental education! Thousands join us for this two-day event held over July 4th since 1979. www.enofest.org
