Athens Conservancy works locally to preserve wild and scenic places and promote healthy, resilient ecosystems. These efforts safeguard water quality, support native biodiversity, and protect mature forests, which are critical to counteract the cause of climate change. We envision a future in which southeast Ohio’s protected lands and diverse habitats connect people with nature for recreation, inspiration, education, and research. We strive to engage and enrich our community of explorers, supporters, volunteers, and allies.
