Stewardship Coordinator

The stewardship coordinator is responsible for implementing and documenting the Kansas Land Trust’s conservation easement stewardship program in alignment with the Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices, funder requirements and KLT policies. This position ensures all required monitoring, recordkeeping, and communication related to stewardship activities are completed accurately, in a timely manner and professionally to maintain accreditation and credibility.

The stewardship coordinator must be highly self-directed, confident in navigating complex issues, comfortable following and implementing organizational policies, able to work independently, and capable of maintaining productive, healthy professional relationships with landowners, volunteers, board members, colleagues, and external partners. KLT offers the flexibility of a remote office. However, all staff must live in the areas where we work and must be willing and able to convene regularly in person for meetings, events and programs. Experience in conservation, land stewardship, natural resources, environmental science, or a related field.
