Executive Director

Sycamore seeks an experienced leader and manager to serve as our next executive director to build on 35 years of commitment to strategic land conservation. Headquartered in Bloomington, Indiana, Sycamore is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit conservation serving 26 counties in southern Indiana to preserve the beauty, health and diversity of the region’s natural landscape through strategic land conservation and environmental education.

Founded in 1990, Sycamore now protects over 11,700 acres and maintains 13 public preserves with over 30 miles of hiking trails. Sycamore has been accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission since 2019.

The executive director will provide direction and guidance for the organization’s 8.5-person staff, which includes a 3-person land stewardship team and positions dedicated to land acquisition, education, development, communications and administration. Application review will begin June 20 and the position will remain open until filled.
