The Conservation Foundation improves the health of northeastern Illinois communities by preserving and restoring open space and natural lands, protecting rivers and watersheds, and promoting stewardship of the environment. The support of more than 6,000 members has enabled us to preserve 37,000 acres over our 50 year history. We are proud to be known as an effective and reasoned voice for conservation, and embrace a whole communities philosophy as we approach partnerships that will improve the health and quality of life of all people and natural systems in our service area.
