The Sippican Lands Trust (SLT) is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 with the mission to acquire, preserve, and protect land in the Town of Marion for the long-term conservation of open space and to encourage appreciation, knowledge and healthy engagement of the natural world. Currently, the SLT protects 1,350 acres of open space. SLT properties are open to the public for the enjoyment of recreational pursuits. The Sippican Lands Trust continues to acquire new properties, however, it’s current focus is to open more public trails (10+ miles) on our properties, and to expand our community outreach programs and events to nature lovers of all ages.
